The Y2K (year 2000) bug has many people having different opinions on many different things.

Practical Jack has an extremist opinion on what would happen to computers on December 31, 1999. He thinks there will be mass chaos and life as we know it today will not exist after the start of the year 2000.

Some people think there will be a period of thirty months that will create problems. The problem will start in July of this year (1999) and continue after the year 2000.

The conspiracy theory states that the United States government is covering up evidence about what actually could happen due to the Y2K bug. The theory says that the government isn't actually doing anything to contemplate or do anything about the situation.

The people that think that nothing will happen think that the government and computer dependent idustries are updating all their computers to Y2K compliance. Some also think people who say massive chaos will occur are saying that just to get money.
